The Climatic Condition of Honolulu

Honolulu is the third largest island of Hawaii which is located along the southern coast of Oahu. This island is situated on a constricted plain between the Pacific Ocean and Koolau mountain range. Though it is situated on a coastal area the climatic condition of Honolulu Hawaii is good throughout the year. Usually climate of an area is referred to as a frequency distribution of various kinds of weather. Moderate humidity, persistence of northeasterly trade winds, moderate rainfall is experienced in most of the years in Honolulu. There are only two seasons in Hawaiian Islands one is summer between May and October and another one is winter between October and April.

The heaviest rainfall in Hawaii occurs in winter season and over the ocean in Hawaii the rainfall distribution averages between 25 to 30 inches a year. So the lands in Hawaii receive as much as 15 times the amount in some places and less than one fourth of it in others. On the other hand, the other extreme drought also occurs in Hawaii but it rarely affects an entire island at one time. This terrible drought may occur when there are either no winter storms or no trade winds that is a dry winter followed by a dry summer and another dry winter. Excluding this the climate in Honolulu is always pleasant.
